COLUMBUS, OHIO — Nearly three full months into the 2019 college football season, OSU got tested and had to play a four-quarter game. The result was a 28-17 victory over Big Ten foe, #8 Penn State.
As surprising as it sounds, the #2-ranked Buckeyes had won all of their first ten games by 24 points or more and firstteam running back J.K. Dobbins, from La Grange H.S., was rarely used in the second half of any games.
This changed on Saturday, however, as Dobbins had a season-high 36 carries, gaining 157 hard-fought yards. Dobbins also had both of OSU’s first-half touchdowns as the Buckeyes entered the locker room leading 14-0.
