Lady Leps Down Schulenburg, Improve to 8-1

The La Grange Lady Leps pulled off their eighth win of the basketball season against the Schulenburg Lady Horns at home Monday afternoon, 41-34.

La Grange got off to a slow start. Lady Horns took the lead 6-8 before La Grange tied it up 9-9 at the end of the first period. The Lady Leps went ahead in the second quarter and never lost the lead.

“After the slow start, I thought we competed well defensively,” said La Grange Girls Basketball Coach Heath Golan said. “We’ve got to get some things ironed out on the offensive side. But the whole group, when they got a chance to play, they found a way to contribute.”
