LG Woman Arrested for Burglary, Auto Theft
La Grange Chief of Police David Gilbreath, reports that on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at noon, La Grange Officer David Mohr responded to a Burglary of a Building call at Cross Doors located on US 77 at the north end of town.
Mohr then received information from the Fayette County Sheriff’s dispatcher that Giddings Police Department had reported a white Cadillac stolen from their city and was traveling towards La Grange. Mohr’s investigation revealed that a white female was seen exiting a storage building at Cross Doors and when confronted by an employee of Cross Doors, the female subject fled the scene in a white Cadillac. Mohr located the white Cadillac parked in the 1600 block of W. Travis St. Mohr determined that this was in fact the stolen vehicle. The driver was located hiding inside of the UPS Store, located at 1618 W. Travis St., in the employee’s area of the store.
