Alice Jane Rodgers, 91, of La Grange, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020.

Alice was born in Burnet on April 2, 1928, the daughter of Rufus and Hazel Jackson.

D.S. and Alice Rodgers owned a home building company and later a cabinet company from 1958-1994. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, poker and spending time with her family. Alice was a life time member of the Eastern Star-Mother of Matron.

She is survived by her son, Devon “Dee” Rodgers, II of La Grange; daughter, Janie Laufenberg and husband, Tim of Columbus; sister, Betty Mosse and husband, Winston of Denison; four grandchildren: Devon S. Rodgers, III; Rebekah Reeves and husband, Dylan; Scott Mitchell and wife, Ali; and Samuel Mitchell; three great grandchildren: Klayton; Ava and Olivia Mitchell; close family friend, Enrico Chiarelli; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Devon “D.S.” Rodgers; and four brothers.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family received friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Funeral Services were held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020. Burial followed at the La Grange City Cemetery.
