One Man Dies, Two Others Feared Dead In Boat Accident at Lake

One man drowned and two others are missing after a small boat sank on Fayette Lake Saturday night, Feb. 8.

According to Lt. David Beyer of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Beyer said five men were in a 14 ft. aluminum jon boat on the lake when the vessel capsized. Two of the men were able to swim to shore. They called for help around 9:30 p.m.
