Between Seasons

We’re in the weird time of the year – too early to fully call it spring, too late to feel like it’s still winter.

From the view of my front porch in Cozy Corner, that’s the debate a group of sandhill cranes seem to be having as they’ve taken up temporary residence in the pastures around our house.

Too soon to fly all the way back north.
