LG Baseball Goes 3-2 at First Tourney
The La Grange High School baseball team came into the season with some questions marks after graduating a load of seniors last year.
And the Leps answered a lot of those questions in three days of strong play at the Hill County Invitational Thursday-Saturday, winning three and losing two in La Grange’s first regular season action of 2020.
The Leps opened the tourney with a 5-3 loss to Katy St. John’s. Trenton Barnes pitched four innings of five-run ball, relieved by two scoreless inning from Trey Hall. Dawson Loehr had a hit and a run in that game.
Friday the Leps beat Marble Falls 6-5. Kaden Hall was the winning pitcher with Kaleb Pyle getting the save. La Grange capitalized on four Marble Falls errors, Colby Spann had a hit, two runs and an RBI.
