Cigarette Sparks Nechanitz Grass Fire
A grass fire north of La Grange burned about threequarters of an acre Thursday afternoon, March 6.
La Grange Volunteer Fire Department received the call around 4 p.m. reporting a grass fire on FM 2145 near Citzler Rd. According to Fire Chief Frank Menefee, a man at the property was mowing some old, tall grass.
