Officials Have to Crack Down On Some Activities of Concern

County Judge Joe Weber reported he addressed a few concerns over the past week involving inappropriate gatherings of people, despite orders to avoid close contact during the coronavirus pandemic.

Weber said he was driving around this week and noticed a lot of golfers playing at one of the local golf courses. He said he was concerned because the course’s small pro shop was open to the public.

“We have people blowing in here from Houston and other places to play golf,” he said. Weber said he told the club to close the pro shop. “If members who have their golf carts in the shed want to play golf, that’s OK,” he said. “But I told them they need to put in an honor system or something, but they shouldn’t have the pro shop open.”
