Robert “Bob” G. Levy, II, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born in Hartford, Conn. on Dec. 15, 1937, the son of Robert G. Levy, I and Marian (Stein) Levy.

Bob and his family moved to Houston when he was very young.

Bob graduated in 1956 from St. John’s High School. For two years he attended Cornell University, and later graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1963.

While attending the University of Texas Bob met the love of his life, Shelby Craig. They married on Dec. 27, 1962, in Austin.

Bob worked as a Trial Specialist with the National Labor Relations Board for over thirty years until his retirement in 2003. After living in Houston for many years Bob and Shelby moved to their country home near the Shelby area in 2008. He really enjoyed living in the country.

His hobby was collecting antique watches and clocks where he made many lifelong friends and was self-taught watch and clock repairman for many years. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Most of all Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and being in the country. His pride and joy were his three sons and six grandchildren that will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 57 years, Shelby Craig Levy; son, Robert Jason Levy, and wife, Suzanne of League City; son, Malcolm Craig Levy of Plano; son, Kyle Carter Levy, and wife, Julie of Lubbock; six grandchildren: Jessica Levy; Nick Levy; Claire Levy; Abby Levy; Connor Levy; and Wyatt Levy; sister, Katheryn Ann Thurston of Jacksonville, Texas; and nephew, Bobby Barksdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. Levy and Marian Levy.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
