Loretta Etta Martha Chilek passed away the morning of Saturday, April 18, 2020 in Austin.

Loretta was born on Jan. 29, 1937 in Ledbetter to Edwin H. and Edna Mae (Schultz) Ebner. Loretta was united in marriage to Jeff Chilek on Jan. 3, 1976. She was the owner of the Quick Stop Grocery, Lounge and Steakhouse in Giddings. Loretta loved playing dominoes, cooking especially barbecuing, dancing, sewing, knitting, hunting, gambling, fishing, raising her cattle, running her business, socializing, going to family gatherings and taking care of her family.

Loretta is survived by her brothers, Glenroy Ebner and his wife, Walden of Giddings, Valgene Ebner and his wife, Carmen of Ledbetter, and Max Ebner and his wife, Brenda of Giddings; sister-in-law, Ginger Ebner of Ledbetter; dear friend and caregiver, Charlie Akin of Giddings; four nieces, Debra Bailey of Cedar Park, Cori Gostecnik and her husband, Ron of Belville, Jamie Schroeder and her husband, Mike of Round Rock, and Laci Ebner of Giddings; three nephews, as well as numerous great nieces, great nephews and extended friends and family.

Due to the current public health concerns, funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the Giddings City Cemetery in Giddings.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
