A Jumping Journey

La Grange second graders from both Hermes Elementary and Sacred Heart participated in the Jumping Journey program. After practicing jumping rope in their PE programs, the program culminated with a jump rope competition last week, with the three boys and three girls at each school who could jump rope the longest without messing up earning medals.

Each second grader went home with a special t-shirt and a jump rope. The program was put on by the Fayette County Helpers organization and the Optimist Club.
