Schulenburg Sweeps Bloomington

The Schulenburg softball team bashed Bloomington 15-0 Tuesday at home.

Alyssa Otto hurled a complete game one-hitter with seven strikeouts.

Macey Thompson scored four runs and had two RBIs. Erica Otto had two hits, including a triple and scored three runs.

Jordan Salem had two hits and four RBIs. Jordan Sommer had two hits and two RBIs. Kloe Kutac scored three runs and Morgan Marburger scored two.

The Lady Horns improved to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in district with the victory.

The Schulenburg baseball team grabbed a dramatic victory Tuesday at home, rallying from a three run deficit to score four runs in their final at bat to beat Bloomington 5-4.

Mario Lara’s walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh scored two to clinch the win for Schulenburg.

Four different Shorthorn pitchers combined in this game, led by Francisco Lara’s four scoreless innings.

Francisco Lara also had three hits. Hunter Schulz had two hits.

Tuesday’s victory improves the Shorthorns record to 3-8-1 overall and 2-1 in district.
