Bonnie DeWayne Head, 62, of La Grange, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2019 in La Grange.

DeWayne was born in Dallas on Oct. 19, 1956, the son of Bonnie Head and Christine (Covington) Head of Irving. De-Wayne loved to spend time taking care of the ranch and tending to the cattle. He was larger than life, had a contagious laugh and had such charisma and joy for life. He loved old Western movies, getting corn dogs at the State Fair of Texas, watching WWE Wrestling and the Dallas Cowboys. But, what he loved most was making memories with his family and spending quality time together at the ranch. He will be missed dearly and remembered by so many.

He is survived by his parents; his loving wife of 33 years, Jackie Head, of La Grange; son, Derek Head and wife, Kayli, of San Marcos; son, Randy Phillips and wife, Myrna, of Allen; son, Jeremy Hankins and wife, Tracey, of Colleyville; daughter, Season Ammons of New Braunfels; and brother, Doug and wife, Pam, of Dallas. He is the grandfather of Cadis and Nash Ammons of Enterprise, Alabama, and Levi and Odie Hankins, of Colleyville.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl in La Grange. A private burial service will be held at the family cemetery following visitation.
