Douglas James Treybig

Douglas James Treybig, 62, of Sealy, passed away March 31, 2019.

He was born in Houston on April 17, 1956 to Cleward and Mary Jane (Muesse) Treybig of Fayetteville.

He worked in Logistics for the most of his career. Douglas loved spending time with his mom, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews at the farm in Fayetteville. He was a big dude with an even bigger heart. He was a great supporter and fan of his children and his grandchildren and their different activities such as sports, FFA, rodeo, fishing, hunting and loved taking the grandkids to the farm riding tractors, 4-wheelers, horses, looking for deer, checking cows, and anything to do with the family farm.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Muesse Treybig; two daughters: Dawn Coufal of Sealy and Kasi Voorhies and husband, Reed, of Bellville; son: Chad Treybig and wife, Krystal, of Wallis; two sisters: Donna Foehr and husband, Bubba, of Waller and Darla Treybig of Houston; two brothers: Donald Treybig, of Fayetteville, and Duane Treybig of Houston; six grandchildren: Taylor, Cade and Gage Treybig; Logan Coufal; Nicholas and Drew Voorhies.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cleward Treybig; niece, Traci Foehr; grandparents: Kristina and Elo Muesse; sister-in-law, Ginger Treybig.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 12 to 7 p.m. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home and Cremations with burial to follow in the Rutersville Cemetery in Rutersville with a gathering at the hall afterwards.
