Leps Beat Navasota in Baseball 5-2

Runs have been hard to come by, especially at home, for the La Grange baseball team, but the Leps built a three-run cushion over the first two innings Friday and held on for a 5-2 district win over Navasota.

“Great team effort,” said La Grange head coach Robert Barber. “We regrouped after Tuesday night (a 6-0 loss to Bellville) and got back to work.”

La Grange got a strong start on the mound from Mason Muras, who threw six innings of five-hit, two-run ball. Dawson Loehr pitched a scoreless seventh to save the game.
