Economic Growth Slows – Except in Fayette County

For sales tax revenue, 2014 is starting off as a disappointing year for Texas towns – unless they’re in Fayette County.

Of the 15 towns in surrounding counties tracked by the Record, two-thirds got smaller checks from the state this month

than they did in January 2013.
