Dorothy Jane Stuart Giese

Dorothy Jane Stuart Giese, 86, of San Marcos died Jan. 17, 2014. A native of Houston, she attended Southwestern University in Georgetown and the University of Houston. She married Leerie Roy Giese in 1951 and spent most of her life in Angleton, La Grange and the family’s farm in Round Top. She and her husband moved to San Marcos in 2012. She is survived by her husband, Leerie Giese of San Marcos, daughter, Nevin Cunningham and husband Bill of San Marcos; her daughter, Stephanie Yoes and husband Charles of Dickinson; grandchildren Andrew Cunningham, Lauren Yoes, and Erin Stuart Swanson and husband Romey. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren Hunter Evan Davidson,

and Jace Austin Smith and lifelong friend Ann Holcombe of Angleton. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in San Marcos. The family would like to express their appreciation of Odyssey Hospice of San Marcos and the staff and residents of Horizon Bay, especially Tracy Herman.
