Lacey Ohnheiser Lewis, 38, of Schertz, joined the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Lacey was born on Aug. 17, 1980 at Fayette Memorial Hospital in La Grange to Pam Menking and Stanley Ohnheiser. She married Mike Lewis on May 31, 2014.

Lacey devoted spending quality time with her nieces, Kyla and Kinley, and nephews, Mason and Grant, as well as family and friends. Her two dogs, Nekka and Bentley, always played along and were always by her side. Lacey found great peace in visiting the farm in Swiss Alp. Some of her greatest hobbies were playing dominoes and Yahtzee, and she was an extravagant player. Also, she was very talented and creativeshe adored scrap-booking and crafts. Lacey had great interest in reading and writing. She loved reading bible verses and devotionals. Her faith in the Lord was very strong.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; her long-time dog companions, Nekka and Bentley; parents: Pam Menking and Stanley Ohnheiser and his wife, Virginia of La Grange; in-laws, Peggy and Thomas Dubuque of New Braunfels; sister, Lindsey Tillery and her husband, Eric Tillery; and their children: Kyla and Kinley; sister, Shannon Juno and her husband, Russ Juno; and their children: Mason and Grant, all of La Grange; grandmother, Dolly Newton, of Maysfield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Melvin Eck Menking, (Bubba) and Robert E. Newton (Gran-Gran); Her paternal grandparents: Henrietta and Otto Ohnheiser (Oma and Opa); and her Uncles: Brian Zigal and Dennis Ohnheiser.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21, 2019 from 12 to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home and Cremations, 208 W. Pearl St. in La Grange. Family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m.

A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 4 p.m. at United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp. Burial followed at the Swiss Alp Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Swiss Alp Cemetery Fund, Austin Boxer Rescue, or a charity of one’s choice.
