Power Out Across La Grange

Update 2:10 p.m.: Power was restored around 2 p.m. this afternoon following an approximately 30-minute outage across the City of La Grange.

City Manager Shawn Raborn said the Lower Colorado River Authority, La Grange's wholesale electric provider, lost power to the substation that serves La Grange. He said LCRA is still evaluating the cause.

Earlier, 1:25 p.m.: Power is out across La Grange this afternoon, Thursday, April 25.

City Manager Shawn Raborn said the issue has something to do with power coming from the Lower Colorado River Authority at the substation serving La Grange. He said crews are there now trying to fix the problem.

Traffic lights are non-functional right now, so motorists should excercise cauthion.
