Local Baseball Teams Play Regular Season Finales; Prep for Playoffs

The La Grange baseball team’s offensive struggles continued Tuesday at Navasota in a 3-0 loss to the Rattlers.

The Leps didn’t get any hits and this loss comes on the heels of last week’s shutout loss to Bellville. Ryan Becka pitched a complete game five-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks.

Navasota’s Dylan Bonnain threw the no-hitter for the Rattlers, with nine strikeouts.

Tuesday’s game was the regular season finale for the Leps, who now turn their attention to the playoffs after going 12-11-1 overall and 4-6 in district (finishing in third place). The Leps will face Sealy (18-7). Details to be determined.
