Debra Ann Wasut

Debra Ann Wasut, 51, of Columbus died Feb. 9, 2014 in Columbus. She was born on Aug. 30, 1962 to Dennies Joe and  Dorothy Mae (Hentschel) Wasut in Columbus. Debra was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger. Debra was a very dedicated employee of HEB Grocery Store for over 19 years and was an administrative assistant/receiving specialist. Debra is survived by her sister, Carolyn Breneman and husband Marvin of Burton; niece, Stacie Lynn Breneman and special friend Coty Plunk of Burton; great niece, Lacey Lynn Jordan of Burton; aunts and uncles, Patsy Hess and husband Jerry, Helen Schlotterbeck, Beetsy Hentschel Wasut and husband Clarence, Frances Hentschel, and Alvin Mikes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennies Joe and Dorothy Mae Hentschel Wasut, infant brother, Dennies Wayne Wasut, aunts and uncles, Shirley Mikes, Robert Hentschel, Sr., Louis “Junior” Hentschel, Jr., Paul Schlotterbeck, Carrie Zapp, Willie Mae Skalitsky, Lillian Kahlden and husband Arthur, Sylvia Richter and husband 

John, Fred Wasut, Walter Wasut, Leslie Wasut, Eddie Wasut and wife Veronica, and Harry Wasut and wife Agatha.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Henneke Funeral  Home in Columbus; and at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday. A Parish Prayer Service and Rosary was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus led by Deacon Robert Jasek.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger with Fr. Steve Sauser officiating. Burial took place in La Grange City Cemetery in La Grange. Pallbearers were Billy Wasut, David Kulhanek, Bobby Hentschel, Willie Wagner, Nathan Hess and Jared Hess. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ellinger, P.O.
