La Grange Economic Numbers Still Strong

Five months into the year, the area’s economy continues to gain steam, with La Grange near the top of the pack.

State Comptroller Glenn Hegar sent La Grange a sales tax rebate check of nearly $170,000 for May. That brings the year to date total to just under $900,000.

That’s a 9.0 percent increase over this time last year. Of the 24 area towns tracked by the Record, only four have seen greater growth.
