Bernard J. Kristynik
Bernard J. Kristynik, 85 of Garwood, died Feb. 13, 2014. He was born on Sept. 6, 1928 in Komensky to Joseph and Martha Filip Kristynik. Bernard served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Nada Knights
of Columbus, KJT, Garwood Volunteer Fire Department and Nocturnal Adoration. He is survived by his wife Janie Kana Kristynik, sons Alan Kristynik and wife Lisa of Victoria, Rick Kristynik and wife Sharon of Rosenberg, grandchildren Hilary Kristynik, Hannah Kristynik, Kyle Kristynik and wife Janice, Ryan Kristynik and special friend Nicole Kitchens, sister Dorothy Olsovsky and husband Albert of Moravia, brothers Leon Kristynik and wife Hattie Jane of Wharton and Eugene Kristynik and wife Willie Mae of Dubina. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Joshua Alyn Kristynik. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Greg Korenek officiated. Graveside services were at 3 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn.
