Years in the Making, Brasher-Gunn Renovation Plan Clears Final Hurdle

The planned massive renovation, inside and out, of the Brasher-Gunn auto dealership building in downtown La Grange cleared a final hurdle Monday at the city council meeting. For years, the Gunn family, which owns the dealership, has

been working with General Motors corporate folks, who were requiring a remodeling of the facility if the Gunns wanted to

keep the dealership in downtown La Grange – as opposed to GM requiring them to move the dealership outside of town to

highway frontage to keep their franchise agreement
