How We Can Save Our Hospital

Our rural community was just awakened about the status of our hospital. Our hospital is struggling. It has been struggling for years. The hospital was built about 15 years ago and was the Taj Mahal of rural hospitals. It was built with growth in mind. It was beautiful. It was BIG. The problem was our community didn’t grow. So, now we have a struggling hospital with mountains of debt and a community on the verge of losing a key economic driver.

What happened and how do we save it?

According to Wikipedia, “Economic development is the process in which a nation (in our case, a county) is being improved in the sector of the economic, political and social wellbeing of its people.” Economic development also refers to the process by which the overall health, well-being, and academic level of the general population improves.
