Fuchs Honored for 75 Years of Continuous Membership in American Legion

During a recent meeting the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post 338 honored one of their long-time members. Post Commander Lynn Reavis announced that the national office of the American Legion had issued a “Certificate of Continuous Membership” to Otto L. Fuchs, Jr. of Carmine.

Before the members assembled for the meeting, Commander Reavis read the certificate that honored Mr. Fuchs for 75 consecutive years of membership.

Fayette County Judge Joe Weber presented a proclamation from the County Commissioners. The Adjutant Bruce Bockhorn proclamation offered in the State of Texas legislature sponsored by State Senator Lois W. Kolkhorst was also announced to the attendees. Other honorariums were offered by the representatives of the Round top-Carmine ISD, the Carmine State Bank and Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Also in attendance were members of Fuchs’ family and numerous residents of the community.
