Schulenburg, Fayetteville Win Volleyball Tournament Titles

It was a strong weekend for Fayette County volleyball teams as the Schulenburg Lady Horns went 8-0 to win their home tournament title. Meanwhile the Fayetteville girls went 4-0 to win the Hempstead tournament. La Grange went 3-3 at the Bastrop Tournament.

The La Grange girls fell to Pflugerville Hendrickson 25-18, 25-21 in the silver bracket semifinals Saturday. That capped a busy three days of action for the Lady Leps at the Bastrop tourney.

On Day 1 of the tourney Thursday La Grange beat Hutto and San Antonio Taft before falling to Corpus Christi London.
