Honora Josephine Pavlik Hlinsky, 87 of Rosharon, passed away in Sugar Land, on Aug. 24, 2019.

She was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Galveston, to Karel and Mary Collerain Pavlik. She grew up in Spring and Fayetteville and was a 1949 graduate of La Grange High School. Honora, “Nonie Jo” to family and friends, was a long time member and volunteer of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Manvel and K.J.Z.T. Confraternity. She retired from Target Corporation.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy, her parents, sisters Mary Lou Zajack and Theresa Roensch and brothers Karel Pavlik, Alfred Pavlik and Edward Pavlik.

Honora is survived by three daughters, Linda Guin and husband Kenneth of Natchitoches, La., Brenda Gaidosek and husband William of Sulphur, La. and Annette Hernandez and husband Alfonzo of Sugar Land and one son, Richard Hlinsky and wife Diedra of Crosby, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Jerrydene Kovar and brothers Bill Pavlik and Robert Pavlik.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Barton House for the wonderful care given to their mother in her final years.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, including a rosary at 7 p.m.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel. Burial followed at South Park Funeral Home. Her grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to South Park Funeral Home in Pearland.
