Ronnie Joseph Kapel

Ronnie Joseph Kapel, 70, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his residence. Ronnie was born in Galveston on June 9, 1943, the son of Henry Joseph and Alice Helen (Kollaja) Kapel. He married Donna Wright on Aug. 20, 1982  in Houston. Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time tinkering in his workshop. He is survived by wife, Donna Kapel of Fayetteville; three daughters: Linda Bretting and husband, Warren of Weimar;  Donna Vanicek of Breckenridge; Carol Colbert of Corpus Christi; one son, Bryan Kapel and wife, Jackie of Corpus Christi; two sisters: Virginia Honeycutt of Cypress, and Sharon Simek of La Grange; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons; Scottie Ognoski and Ryan Joseph Charles Kapel. Memorial Services will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia E.
