Navarro Spoils Leps’ Homecoming

Sometimes there is power in simplicity.

The Navarro Panthers football team came to town Friday and didn’t throw a single pass (or attempt a single punt or lose a single turnover for that matter) and spoiled La Grange’s homecoming, downing the Leopards 55-22 in a battle between unbeaten teams.

Running the age-old Slot-T offense to perfection, the defending state quarterfinalist Panthers kept the Leps’ defense guessing all night as to which of Navarro’s hard-charging running backs had the ball on any given play.
