Back on the kolache trail, this week near at hand at Lukas Bakery on the La Grange square.

And please don’t pronounce it “lukash,” pretending you know Czech – “it’s pure Polish,” laughed co-owner, with husband Larry, Carol Faydyn. 

Larry’s the baker now, but Carol’s father founded the bakery way back in 1947.    

So what’s the best selling kolache?
