LG Teachers Board Room Drama Get Raises

New teachers at LGISD will be starting at a higher salary than those in previous years. At Monday’s meeting, the school board approved a new hiring range for the 2014-15 school year with a salary for beginning teacher’s of $38,000 and up to $50,300 for teachers with twenty-five years or more. Along with this change, the school board approved  a three percent increase for current teachers and an increase for current teachers to reflect the new minimum salary range.
