Bernard Edward Kruppa, 89, of Temple died Friday, June 27, 2014 at the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans

Home in Temple. A funeral mass and burial will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn with Father Timothy Kosler officiating. Kruppa was born on Aug. 10, 1924 in Holman to Richard and Martha Adamcik Kruppa. He graduated from La Grange High School. He married Elaine Vavra Hubenak on May 24, 1948 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Weimer. He served in the Naval Air Patrol in WWII. After returning home, Kruppa was a Jersey breeder and dairyman in La Grange. He was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church in Temple as well as KJT, 4th degree Knights of Columbus, and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edwin,Henry, and Frank Kruppa and his wife, Elaine Kruppa. Survivors include sons, Leonard Kruppa and his wife Jane of Temple, Daniel Kruppa and his wife Mary Helen of Tomball, and daughters, Mary Ann Daly of St. George, Utah and Joan Flood and her husband Steve of Fulshear. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren
