Man Makes Threats, Locks Himself in Bank
Flatonia Police took a scary 911 call Monday morning reporting a robbery in progress at Fayette Savings Bank. When police arrived at the bank, however, they found an unarmed man who made the call locked in an office.
According to a report from Flatonia Police Chief Lee Dick, the 911 call came around 11:18 a.m.
“(The caller) said someone was in the bank saying if they didn’t give him money he was going to kill everyone inside,” Dick said. “It turned out to be a guy who wanted to use the phone in the bank, and when they told him he couldn’t use the phone, he went into an office and locked himself inside.”
