Gary Daniel Brashier

Gary Daniel Brashier, 55, of El Dorado died July 18, 2014 at Lifetouch Hospice surrounded by his family and friends after a two year battle with cancer. He was born in Houston on Aug. 19, 1958 to William Grances Brashier and the late
Mary “Billy” Elizabeth Brashier. He went to Galena Park High School where he played football. He was a beloved  husband, father and grandfather. Gary believed in spreading the word of God whenever possible, he went on two separate mission trips to China and was actively involved with the youth group and Sunday school when his two girls
were growing up. In his early years Gary worked with his father in construction and upon moving to El Dorado he worked
at AmberCable. Gary is preceded in death by his mother; Mary “Billy” Elizabeth Brashier, a brother William Michael  Brashier, Charlie Emmit Phillips and Estelle Phillips. Gary is survived by his wife Annie Dale Brashier of El Dorado; his father, William Frances Brashier; two children, Sandra E. McNeely and husband Cody of Texarkana and Bridgette
Fitch and husband Dustin of LaPort; three grandchildren, Bryce McNeely of Texarkana, Gaige LeGrand and Kilee Fitch
of LaPort; brother, Clarence Wayne Brashier and wife Janice of Pearland; two sisters, Frances Ann Fregia and Jodi Lynn Alley and husband David of Humble; friends, Phillip Rainwater, Linda Tanner, Jeff King and Bill Brashaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels with
Bros. Ellis McKenzie and Sterling Claypoole officiating with burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle, El Dorado, Ark. A memorial will be held at Claytons Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014.
