Gid Dobbins

Gid Dobbins, Jr, 71, of Fort Worth, died Monday, July 21, 2014. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 27,

2014 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in the Bethlehem AME Church Cemetery. Gid was born Nov. 26, 1942 in La Grange the son of Gid and Sadie (East) Dobbins. Gid married Josephine Keeling on Dec. 26, 1964.

Gid was employed as a Truck Driver at Taylor Mac Fats Trucking Co. Gid is survived by his wife; mother; one daughter, Tonya Dobbins; two sons, Tyrone and Gid Dobbins all of Fort Worth; four sisters, Pearlie Mae Brooks, of Houston; Loraine Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; Girlene Grayson of  La Grange; Laverne Faulson of Austin; one brother, Earl Dobbins of Houston; God-daughter, Lisa Maroney of Fort Worth; and nine grandchildren. Gid was preceded in death by his father, one brother and five sisters. Tommy Taylor Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements
