Lydia (Sulak) Ruzicka

Lydia (Sulak) Ruzicka, 101, of Cypress (formerly of Fayetteville) died Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 in Houston. Lydia was born in Fayetteville on Dec. 21, 1912, the daughter of John and Theresa (Reppka) Sulak. Lydia was employed as a seamtress during war times making uniforms for the military. She loved spending time and reminiscing with her nieces and  nephews who will greatly miss her. She is survived by four nephews: James Pavalock and Michael Pavalock both of Cypress; Edward Malota of Fayetteville and Roy Gene Malota of Wyoming; four nieces: Sharon Humphreys of Cypress; Betty Jean Janak of Columbus; Doris Matocha of Fayetteville; and Angeline Wasicek of Needville; and numerous grand nephews and grand nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Betty Malota, Elnor Autzen and Angeline Pavalock. Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel, 207 Live Oak in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014. Burial will follow at Fayetteville Catholic Cemetery.
