Even With Burn Ban Lifted, Fire Danger Still Exists

La Grange Volunteer Fire Department got called out twice on Saturday to fires in the Mullins Prairie and Holman area.

The first call came in around 1 p.m. Fire Chief Frank Menefee said a property owner on Loehr Road was burning some material when the fire spread out of control. Firefighters responded with a grass truck and tanker. About a quarter acre burned before firefighters extinguished the flames.
