Remember When?

July 4-7, 1964 Four occupants of a 1955 Ford escaped with minor injuries when their westbound car slammed into the guardrail at the Ellinger “Y” on Hwy. 71 at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The front end was badly damaged so the vehicle was hauled to the nearby Schulze Garage. The Austin driver had apparently fallen asleep at the wheel. Plans were being finalized for

the Fayette County Fair set for September 18-20.
