Halamicek

Clarence John “CJ” Halamicek, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away on Nov. 9, 2019, in La Grange.

Clarence was born in El Campo on Oct. 7, 1937, the son of Henry Otto Halamicek and Bessie (Bounds) Halamicek. He was a graduate of El Campo High School and Sam Houston State University.

He is survived by his wife, Prachit S. Halamicek, of Fayetteville; his daughter, Yvonne Denzler and husband, Ed Denzler of Las Cruces, New Mexico; his son, Jeff Halamicek, and wife, Elise Halamicek, of Las Vegas, Nev.; his son, John Halamicek, and wife, Danielle Halamicek, of Houston; and grandson, Abel Harding and wife, Morgan Harding, of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Fitts, his brother, Henry Halamicek, and sister Margaret Harris.

Clarence was a devoted father and husband. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman since had a child. He served in the United States Army and later worked as a petroleum landman. He will be deeply missed by all those who loved and knew him.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
