Svoboda

Frank Henry Svoboda, 92, of Ellinger passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019.

Frank was born in Sugarland on July 10, 1927 the son of Frank F. Svoboda and Mary C. (Novosad) Svoboda. He married Adela A. Srubar on Jan. 20, 1948 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum.

Frank was a self-employed dairy farmer and rancher. He also worked as a clerk for the U.S. Post Officein Ellinger.He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger and was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by daughter, Joyce Ritchie and husband, Walter, of Seguin; four sons: Edward Svoboda and wife, Verlene, of Lockhart; Eugene Svoboda and wife, Kay, of Cat Spring; Clarence Svoboda of Lewisville; Michael Svoboda and wife, Kathy, of Ellinger; sisters-in-law: Olga Svrcek of Baytown and Maricella Srubar of Houston; brotherin-law, Allen Barta of Ft. Worth; fourteen grandchildren; twentyone great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Adela Svoboda; father-in-law and mother-inlaw, Anton and Aloisie Srubar; brothers-in-law, Bennie Srubar and Bernard Svrcek; sisters-inlaw, Gladys Barta and Bernice Castello; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Anita Srubar and Evelyn and Emil Hrbacek.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 from 1 to 5p.

m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger with family present. A rosary was recited at 5 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019. Burial followed at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville.
