Czech Immigration and Education

From the very beginning, Czech emigrants in the 19th century began showing their patriotism and devotion to their new

homeland. A letter to the editor about that subject was written by a Czech emigrant for the January 14, 1889 edition of the Svoboda, a Czech newspaper with a circulation of 4000 readers that was published in La Grange by Augustin Haidusek.
