Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) was anointed by House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to lead yet another congressional investigation of Benghazi. By its mere creation, the House Benghazi Investigation Committee falls into the same recurring pattern of willfully undermining the Obama administration’s governing authority, criticizing the federal government for alleged inability to function properly, and encouraging many to doubt the Obama administration’s legitimacy
