Alignment Changes: Schulenburg Headed Back to 2A

In the lead-up to upcoming February realignment of competitive districts (for athletics and academics) that will set up the rivalries for the next two school years, the UIL released its Reclassification and Realignment Conference Cutoff Numbers for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 as well as the enrollment “snapshot” numbers for all the schools in Texas this week, and there are some fascinating changes.

First off, La Grange High School’s enrollment dropped from 629 two years ago to 611 now, but there appears there will be no changes to the Leps’ core grouping against schools like Smithville and Giddings and Bellville.
