Neva Ella Noak

Neva Ella Noak, 88, of La Grange died Aug. 20, 2014. Visitation was held Friday Aug. 22, 2014 from 12 to 7 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family received visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Prayer service was at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held Saturday Aug. 23, 2014 at St Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. Interment followed at Richter Cemetery in Round Top. Neva was born on March 28, 1926 in Round Top the  daughter of Alfred Noak and Frieda Schlabach Noak. She was baptized at home on Oct. 19, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. She worked 35 years at Franklin Nursery in La Grange. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange, the Ladies Aid, Care Bearers, office volunteer and volunteered at Care Inn in La Grange. She loved gardening, fishing and watching the Houston Astros. She is survived by one sister, Nola Goehring of Round Top; one brother, Nolan Noak of Carmine; one sister-in-law, Vernell Noak and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Nelson Noak; one sister-in-law, Irene Noak; one brother-in-law, Leroy Goehring and niece Ira Nell McCoy. Family suggests memorials be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church in La Grange. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
