Jim Walter Pavlicek, Jr.

Jim Walter Pavlicek, Jr., 57, of Ellinger, died on Monday, August 18, 2014. Visitation was held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Jim was born in Weimar, Texas on March 2, 1957, the son of Jim Pavlicek, Sr. and Dorothy (Doehring) Pavlicek. Jim worked as a diesel mechanic after high school. He then embarked on a truck driving career spanning more than 35 years. His last several years of trucking were spent with Quality Fertilizer Company in Columbus. He is survived by son, Allen Pavlicek of Schulenburg; daughter, Becky Pavlicek, of Schulenburg; sister, Margie Genzer and husband, George, of El Campo; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
