Warda Native Talks of Experiencing Last Week’s Earthquake

When the strongest earthquake in 25 years struck near Napa, California about 3:20 a.m. Sunday morning, Warda native Bill Karisch was in the cab of his 18-wheeler in Richmond about 35 miles away and he felt it. “The first time the truck swayed, it felt like a wind gust had struck, but then I thought, wait a minute, I’m sitting at a refinery, there shouldn’t be high winds.”
