Michael Gene Moerbe

Michael Gene Moerbe, 61,  of La Grange went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014. Michael was born in La  Grange on Oct. 27, 1952, the son of Marvin L. and Wanda (Bamsch) Moerbe. He was baptized into the Christian faith on Nov. 9, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in La Grange and confirmed his faith on May 21, 1967 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange. Agriculture was his life’s work. Michael is survived by brother, Donald Moerbe and wife, Dot; two sisters: Betty (Moerbe) Welnack and Kathleen (Moerbe) Walther and husband, Ray; surviving nieces and

nephews: Rev. Scott and Lisa Schaller; Rev. David and Becky Moerbe; Rev. Chris and Laura Brynestad; Matthew and Kathleen Welnack; Megan Welnack; and Aaron and Joshua Walther. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Wanda Moerbe. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be  held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held
