My Procrastination Roots
By REGINA KEILERS
Procrastination – that wonderful thing that infects many of us. I do include myself in the afflicted and while I have tried many times to overcome this condition, swearing off of the temptation to “put it off until later,” it seems that I fall off the wagon more often than not. I have had this condition for many years. My earliest memory of serious procrastination was the dreaded research paper each year in English class. I vividly remember collecting all the resources, (you know, books, magazine articles, encyclopedias, etc.) ahead of time. I had good intentions of starting the paper early, but life seemed to get in the way and sure enough the weekend before the paper was due, I found myself staring at a blank sheet of paper.
